James Jordan Johnson
James Jordan Johnson is an artist from London working in performance, photography, film and sculpture. He is interested in the metaphysics of witnessing and how registers of slowness might produce alternative readings within Blackness. He uses pre-existing or self-established forms of opacity within events of personal and collective memorialisation.
‘I am really excited to spend the next year developing a studio based practice at Forma and to continue to explore my approach to film during the residency.’
