Our Online Platform that complements this year’s Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2021 exhibitions is available to view at: platform.newcontemporaries.
Designed by the innovative HATO, the platform includes each of the 75 artists’ selected works, biographical material, texts and a bibliography of research material generated by the artists. It also includes an introduction by 2021 selectors Hew Locke, Tai Shani and Michelle Williams Gamaker.
We have also invited contributions from a range of emerging curators and writers: Rosa Abbott, Chloe Austin, Sophie Bownes, Donald Butler, Cairo Clarke, Olamiju Fajemisin, Candice Nembhard, Marek Sullivan, Ted Targett, Riet Timmerman, Lily Tonge and Kirsty White, who have each asked questions to the selected artists, providing an opportunity to bring new voices to New Contemporaries and new perspectives on each artist's practices.
The exhibition will launches at Firstsite and travels to South London Gallery in December.
