Friday Salons host discussions that address professional development for artists, in conjunction with Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2011: In the Presence

The Amateurist Network - Friday 2 December 2011, 2.30pm - 6.30pm
The Amateurist Network promotes open and critical discussion around the economics of creative practice and cultural production. Artist Simon Bedwell and Sion Whellens, Business Development Director at Calverts Co-operative, will discuss artists’ and cultural workers’ legal rights, as well as the use of contracts and unionised or co-operative memberships in asserting these rights.
