This year’s presentation includes 47 artists – selected over a two-stage process – by internationally renowned artists James Richards, Veronica Ryan and Zadie Xa from an open call submission of over 1,500 entries. Launching in Hull across both Humber Street Gallery and Ferens Art Gallery, the 2022 exhibition demonstrates a rich diversity of voices and approaches to making.

To complement the exhibition, New Contemporaries has produced an online platform to enable audiences to further engage with all of the artists’ work, through biographical material and Q&A’s. This online platform is available at: platform.newcontemporaries.org.uk
