Aaron Ratajczyk (alumni 2021) was selected as the recipient of the New Contemporaries x RALLY commission, leading to the production of his new video work ‘Plastic Bodies’, 2024.

Set within the steam sauna of a local gym, the balancing act between visibility and obscurity, movement and stillness. Bodies shift between fluidity and solidity, emerging through the textured imagery and pulsating lights. The work captures a partly poetic, partly somatic representation of masculinity, the malleability of the body, and its potential for dissolving boundaries.
