Jasmine Johnson Receives Studio Residency and Bursary with New Contemporaries and Hospitalfield

We are excited to announce that Jasmine Johnson (BNC 2015) has been awarded the Studio Residency and Bursary with New Contemporaries and Hospitalfield, Angus. During September Jasmine will be in residence at Hospitalfield with circa 6 UK-based visual artists, with access to shared studios and a research and development bursary.

Jasmine Johnson’s work incorporates video, drawing, installation, sound and performance to produce increasingly ambitious portraits of globally dispersed individuals. Johnson's solo presentations include Barbican FreeStage; Almanac; Jerwood Project Space; ANDOR Gallery, with MoreUtopia! (all London); DeVos Museum with Rachel Pimm (Michigan); ASI & CCI Fabrika (Moscow) and Eddie Peake’s Hymn Programme (Online). Group presentations include the Barbican Level G; Government Art Collection (all London); Bloomberg New Contemporaries (UK) Daata Editions (online); Place des Arts (Montreal). Her work has been screened at Chisenhale Gallery, ICA, Jerwood Presents – Genesis Cinema and Contemporary Art Centre (Vilnius). She works as a visiting lecturer at Nottingham Trent University.
