Biography

b. 1971, Edinburgh

Studied Illustration and Animation at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 1994. From 1994 to 1996 worked as a freelance workshop organiser, teaching animation techniques at a variety of venues from the Edinburgh Film Festival to HM Prison Saughton. From 1996 to 1999 worked at the Royal Blind School, Edinburgh as a special needs classroom assistant involved in the development of communication systems for multiply disabled children. From October 1999 to December 2000 completed an MSc in Electronic Imagin at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. In June 2000, Without You was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award.

Without You is best described as a documentary of Adrian Henri. Not in a conventional sense, but a new form of documentary where what is created is a mental picture, or impression.
