Phil Collins
Born 1970, Runcorn, England

Phil Collins works in video and video installation. He has had solo exhibitions at venues in Ireland, Britain, the USA, Spain, Denmark, Italy, Greece and Israel. Selected solo shows include: they shoot horses, Kerlin Gallery, Dublin (2004); Present Futures, Artissima, Turin (2003); sinisa and sanja, The Wrong Gallery, New York and bad infinity 2, Locust Projects, Miami (2002); face value, Context Gallery, Derry (2001). Group shows include: Pass the Time of Day, Gasworks Gallery and tour, Recall, Modern Art Oxford and The Yugoslav Biennial of Young Artists (2004); Videozone 2, Centro de Arte Moderna, Lisbon and Witness, Barbican Art Gallery, London (2003); Reality Check, The Photographers’ Gallery / British Council (2002); Tirana Biennial, Albania (2001); Manifesta 3, Ljubljana (2000). He was awarded the Absolut Prize for his contribution to Perspective 2000 in Belfast and in 2001 received a Paul Hamlyn Award.

Phil Collins’ current solo exhibition, Yeah … You Baby, You, is at Milton Keynes Gallery until 29 May 2005 and tours to The National Gallery of Arts, Tirana, Albania, firstsite, Colchester, Glynn Vivian Gallery, Swansea, and Neue Kunst Halle, St Gallen, Switzerland.
