Submissions Now Open for Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2017

We are delighted to announce that submissions are now open for Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2017.

Since 1949, New Contemporaries has organised an annual, open submission, touring exhibition for current and recent graduates. This high-profile platform has become nationally recognised as a barometer of work emerging from UK art schools. Our roster of alumni encompasses: significant post-war figures such as Frank Auerbach and Paula Rego; pop artists including Patrick Caulfield and David Hockney; decade-defining YBAs Damien Hirst and Gillian Wearing; alongside other significant contemporary figures such as Tacita Dean, Mark Lecky, Mona Hatoum, Mike Nelson and Chris Ofili. More recently Ed Atkins, Becky Beasley, Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, Phil Collins, Nicolas Deshayes, Sophie von Hellermann, Rachel Maclean, Nathaniel Mellors, Haroon Mirza and Laure Prouvost have been selected.

Applications for Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2017 are welcome from final year students and those who graduated from UK art schools in 2016 applying as artists or as collaborative groups. Every single work submitted will be reviewed and discussed by an expert panel of selectors, to be announced soon.

Submissions cost £25.
