Four BNC 2011 artists whose work connects with ideas of architecture, domesticity and modernism in discussion alongside a panel of professionals working in the fields of art, architecture and urban planning

The talk will begin with a site-seeing walk around the back streets of the ICA, where each artist will discuss a building / public sculpture / intervention they feel is significant to the discussion's theme and their own practice.

To continue the evening, join us for Everthing, a regular alternative club night curated by artists Thomas Shickle and Aisha Christison, members of the ICA Student Forum. The evening will include Jack Burtons sculpture (in the Theatre), works by artists David Rule, Jenny Pengilly and Jack Burton and music by Octagon Court. Djs Dj Mourka, Leon Hatcher and Dj Dj will be performing in the Upper and Lower Bar.

Speakers are:

Murray Fraser is professor of architecture at the Bartlett. He is completing a book with Joe Kerr on the US influence on post-war British architecture.

Victoria Walsh is Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Modern and Contemporary Culture and is currently co-writing the forthcoming publication Post-critical Museology: Theory and Practice in the Art Museum (Routledge, 2012).

Juan Bolivar is an artist-curator. He inaugurated TRAILER in 2001, curating ten exhibitions under this banner.

Fay Nicolson is an artist, writer and curator with an interest in the legacy of modernism.

The four Bloomberg New contemporaries artists are: Yelena Popova, Minae Kim, Poppy Whatmore and David Ben White.
