Selectors' Comments
Is that how it is or how it will be? Excellent square straight photographs of the local moment before seismic Olympic shift. A temporary hinterland with permanent quality.

Artist's Statement
Gesche Würfel's photographic work is informed by her planning background. Go for Gold! focuses on urban regeneration and provokes critical thoughts about the transitions that London's Lower Lea Valley, the major site for the 2012 Olympics, has undergone since 2006.
